it is the beating of his hideous heart!" - Edgar Allan Poe, from "The Tell-tale Heart" The Tell-tale Heart A writhing almost chaotic spirited creation, this was
further enhanced by Jim's nifty fake heartbeat that ominously has a presence
(variably in the background) throughout most of this track. That helped
bolster the feel of a work that surges along, with cataclysmic electronics
and mind-boggling array of guitars and noise. As usual, the concept was
adopted to the work afterwards, the more we heard it the more we could
imagine Poe's derranged psychopath squirming, seeking for a place to hide! Shuffled Perception Of The Brain Mass Actually the first session of that hot and sticky summer
night, this fragmented condensed version of the work follows a thematic
progression in two different phases, as confusingly bizarre as the title
suggests, yet also cohesive, with a poweful crescendo that's almost
