review...
This album's lengthy title is a dedication to Danish surreal artist Wilhelm
Freddie, a bizarre little-known Dali-esque talent. Not that the music is
surreal though, albeit highly creative for a multi-instrumental album created
on a 4-track. Dave lists a whole plethora of influences, although I was
instantly reminded of the early groundbreaking works of Deuter, with equal
doses of Stephan Micus and Terry Riley thrown into the mix. Of course there
are many things you'll hear totally unique to David Powell, particularly his
use of souncrafting, with some really strange fuzz and modulation processing.
