review...
Following his departure from Shapeshifter, Jim
Tetlow formed an ongoing occasional project called Hemamorphite,
who play a meditational music involving synthesizers, Tibetan singing bowls,
guitars and voice. This album fits in perfectly as the step between later
instrumental Shapeshifter and early Endgame. The long
awaited debut "Awaiting Lewin" is a paradoxically powerful meditative
album riding the edge between serenity and psychedelic distress! The music is
often calming but there is an omnipresent sense of unease.
